At this week's CommunicAsia 2011 (June) show in Singapore, Nokia Siemens Networks is showcasing a theme of "Liquid Telco" built around its Liquid Radio and CEM 2.0 technology. The company will focus on practical solutions for enabling extremely flexible networks that dynamically adjust to changing customer demands. The demonstrations will include LTE-Advanced carrier aggregation, enabling CSPs to utilize multiband frequency with greater efficiency, as well as optical packet transport and the readiness for 400 Gbps DWDM.
...the various cell tower antennas are combined and shrunk into a single powerful, Bell Labs-pioneered multi frequency, multi standard (2G, 3G, LTE) device that can be mounted on poles, sides of buildings or anywhere else there is power and a broadband connection.
Verizon Wireless still manages to have an unlimited monthly data plan - at least for 3G service. That same $30 per month plan could be coming for Verizon’s 4G LTE network.
